We’ll welcome five-time Emmy Award-winning historian John Horrigan to our community to give a presentation on the Irish Famine. Horrigan will discuss how a potato blight in Europe during the 1840s led to mass starvation, disease, and emigration in Ireland from 1845 to 1849, as well as how this tragic period left a lasting impression on Ireland and consciousness of its people.
